Our brioche and pearl sugar Original Belgian Waffles taste like a combination of waffles and donuts and take just seconds to warm up, so you can save time and spare the mess in the mornings. Great on their own, they’re even tastier with these decadent, autumn-inspired toppings. We guarantee you’ll fall for every recipe on this list!
The unofficial Queen of Fall, Pumpkin Spice is back this year and ready to claim her throne atop Belgian Boys’ breakfasts. Rich with fall flavors, this topping is perfect for latte lovers and pumpkin pie traditionalists alike.
To whip up this topping, combine 8 ounces of softened cream cheese with ¼ cup of pumpkin puree (the canned kind works great, just make sure it’s not pumpkin pie mix!). Add 3 tablespoons of your favorite maple syrup, 3 tablespoons powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Mix with a hand mixer until the ingredients are well combined and the mixture is smooth throughout. Pop a Belgian Boys’ waffle in the toaster for fifteen seconds to warm, then spoon on your topping and proclaim: Long live Pumpkin Spice!
Trust us, there’s no better smell to wake up to than warm cinnamon apples simmering on the stove. Apples are at their peak in the fall, so this recipe is sure to make your mornings a little sweeter!
Start by peeling and thinly slicing two apples (any variety will work, but we used Honeycrisp). Sauté on a non-stick skillet over medium heat with 2 tablespoons of butter until the butter is completely melted, then stir in 2 tablespoons raw brown sugar, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg. Continue to cook for another five minutes, or until the apples are tender. Chop a handful of walnuts and toast in a separate pan without oil until nuts are fragrant, about five minutes. Top your Belgian Boys’ waffles with a heaping spoonful of apple compote and a sprinkle of freshly toasted walnuts.
Campfire roasted marshmallows are one of summer’s greatest pleasures. Transform this tasty treat for fall by combining marshmallow fluff with a warm drizzle of caramel on top of our brioche dough waffles.
To make the caramel drizzle, combine one 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk with 1 cup light brown sugar in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat until the mixture bubbles, whisking constantly. Reduce heat and simmer for another 5 minutes, continuing to whisk. Remove mixture from the heat and add in 2 tablespoons butter and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract. Whisk until completely combined. Heat your Belgian Boys’ waffles by warming in the microwave for about five seconds, then spread on your favorite brand of marshmallow fluff. Drizzle your homemade caramel sauce on top and serve for a decadent breakfast or as a dessert at your next dinner party.
Stuffed baked potatoes are the perfect comfort food for when the days start getting a little chillier. We put a twist on this fall staple by replacing the potato with a thick and airy Belgian waffle loaded with a savory, cheesy topping.
To prepare the Loaded Potato Waffle topping, fry up bacon on the stove top, making sure to start with a cold pan and cook low and slow. Set bacon aside, allowing to drain on a paper towel. Combine 8 ounces of softened cream cheese with a handful of shredded cheddar cheese and chopped green onions. Dice bacon and stir into cream cheese mixture. Heat up your Belgian Boys’ waffles in the toaster or microwave and top with this crowd-pleasing savory topping. We promise that kids and adults alike will load up their plates with seconds!
What came first, the fried chicken or the waffle? We may never know the answer to this age-old paradox, but what we do know is that this recipe for fried chicken and waffles spiced with fall flavors is one finger-licking meal!
For quick and easy fried chicken, season boneless skinless chicken thighs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, ground cinnamon, and ground cardamom. Beat 3 eggs in a large bowl and fill a second bowl with 2 cups of flour. Dip each chicken thigh in the eggs before dredging in flour until thoroughly coated. Heat oil to 350°F in a large pot or deep fryer. Carefully place the chicken in the oil and allow to cook for about fifteen minutes, until dark and crispy. Serve on top of the Belgian Boys fluffy brioche dough waffles with a drizzle of maple syrup.
